Covid-19 Information

We are now scheduling Hygiene Care Appointments and including emergency, non-essential treatment and restorative procedures

Please note that due to the current COVID-19 precautions, we have new infection control protocols with the scheduling and we will provide you with further details when appointments are reserved.

Enhanced Infection Controls

Safety is our first concern, so while we've been closed, we've taken the following precautions to ensure we can see you safely if you'd like to complete a treatment:

  • New safety barriers and limited seating in the reception area (to ensure social distancing is possible).

  • Enhanced air treatment equipment for aerosol generating procedures

  • Enhanced personal protective equipment for all Clinical Providers including face shieålds, goggles, masks and surgical gowns. Depending on the type of care you are receiving these may all be required or only a few... but rest assured we are being careful to provide the safest care and protection for you and ourselves as possible.

  • Surface Sanitation procedures beyond the latest recommendations (includes regular cleaning/wipe down of all surfaces in reception, washrooms, door handles and treatment rooms

  • You will be asked to complete a wellness questionnaire when you arrive for your appointment; have a phone interview on the date of the appointment prior to coming and have a temperature check

What To Expect

We follow all guidelines from the Provincial Health Authority and BC College of Dental Surgeons. When you arrive, things may feel a bit different for the time being.

  •  APPOINTMENT TIME; We ask that you arrive on time (we have specifically scheduled to avoid overlap of patients in the reception area). New guidelines require we extend the length of all appointments, this has resulted in less time to provide dental care

  • (Hence, it has become critical you arrive on time).

    • ***If you are late for an appointment a fee may be applied and your appointment canceled.

  • When you arrive, we will advise you complete a form and have a temperature check.

  • Except in the case of parents accompanying children or caregivers, only the patient being treated will be permitted in the office and reception area. We will provide hand sanitizer and ask if you can bring your own personal mask (mask optional).

  • To prevent sharing germs, there are no magazines or toys in the reception area

  • The clinical staff will be wearing more protective equipment (face shields, goggles, masks & surgical gowns for aerosol procedures)

Thank You to All Our Patients

From all of us at the office, we thank you for your kind patience and understanding during this difficult time. We hope that you and your family are well, and we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

Kindest Regards,
Drs. Kiavash Hossini, Sadaf Kashani & Michael Fung
